Ramada Hollywood - what is it like ?

Hello, my wife and I are going to Fort Lauderdale and would like to know what the Ramada Holleywood is like. Is it clean ? To me, that is the most important thing. We are staying one week.

Your help/comment would be appreciated.

Also, would the Yankee Clipper be a better choice ?

I think theer are two Ramadas in Hollywood- are you speaking of teh one on teh beach- if so, pretty awful reviews- an old ';historic'; building which many just find substandard:

I think the Clipper would be better, and also would suggest you look at Best Western Oceanside , right next to the Clipper, which many like better and which is usually better priced.

The Ramada on Hollywood Beach says they%26#39;ve remodeled, but it sure doesn%26#39;t look like it....

I would definitely choose the Best Western Oceanside over the Ramada or Yankee Clipper (until the Clipper has been remodeled).

Andy - I wouldn%26#39;t choose either of the Ramada hotels in Hollywood. I don%26#39;t think either of them are in decent shape.

The Clipper has one remodeled building (although a massive renovation will take place next year) so if you decide on the Clipper, ask for a remodeled room. I originally steered you towards the Best Western because they have gotten good reviews and seem consistant in their service levels. Either the Clipper or the Best Western are far better than either of the Ramada hotels.
