When I called in January to reserve rooms at Disneyworld in November, I asked about dinner reservations for the Hoop De Doo revue and was told reservations are only taken 180 days before. Today I called (it was exactly 178 days)and was told they were booked for the first two shows on all four evenings. Today I was told if you have hotel reservations (which I do) you can call 10 days before the 180. No one mentioned this when we got our Gathering number and I don%26#39;t see that information on the Web site. We are very disappointed! Don%26#39;t worry about the gas situation effecting DW.

I am so sorry for your misfortune. I would keep calling. Someone always cancels. Don%26#39;t give up yet.
DisneyWorld/Dining Reservations
Keep calling, there are often cancellations. If you have your heart set on Hoop De Doo book for another night and cancel if you are able to move your ADR to your original choice. We called everyday for 2 weeks to get our Candlelight Processional package booked for the day and restaurant of your choice, and we got lucky. Just be persistant!
Be persistant!! Find out when the cutoff time for cancelling ressies for Hoop DeeDoo is for the dates you desire. Back this date up 7-10 days and make it your new target date to start calling. Many people secure ressies early out and then cancel them just prior to cutoff date for cancellations without penalty. I suppose they want to keep all options available until making last minute decisions. Start calling every morning prior to this cutoff date as soon as ressie center opens. I have been told that ressies cancelled today do not clear and get put back in the system as available until midnight, so logic would dictate that your best chance to grab a newly available ressie would be the next morning @ opening of ressie center.
Unfortunatly, there are no cutoff dates for ADR%26#39;s unless it is a restaurant that requires a credit card to be put down at the time of the ADR. I do not believe that Hoop De Doo is one of these. Just try as often as you think of it and hope that someone cancels.
Good luck!
Actually, thats not exactly correct. The way it works is that if you stay at a Disney hotel you can reserve 180+10 from the first day of your stay. So, for example, if you will be arriving on June 1, you can call 180 days prior and book until June 11th with one call.
Grand gatherings and the platinum plan do have exceptions to that rule in certain cases. The size of your gathering may also be an issue, seating at some venues for large groups is problematical.
As another poster mentioned, I bet the size of your group is the problem. Try splitting up into two (or more?) smaller tables. I called last week for the Hoop de Doo in mid-October (a table for two) and had plenty of options on the night I wanted.
You wouldn%26#39;t think Disney would tell a group of 8 that they are sold out when they actually have two tables for 4 or a table for 6 and a table for 2, but from some prior experiences, that may be how it works.
If that doesn%26#39;t work (and I bet it will), I think the cancellation deadline for the Hoop de Doo is 48 hours. I had to give them a credit card to hold the reservation.
Thanks for all your suggestions. I will try to call for cancellations, however with the Hoop De Doo your credit card is charged immediately so I think there is less change of cancellations.
We went a couple of years ago also with a family ';Gathering'; and were divided into three tables next to each other. I think they divide large groups automatically into smaller tables. This year we will be 12.
The only questions there are:
Did the reservationist think to do the split in the first place, or
Did he/she try to keep you together instead of maybe sitting a table apart (I have no idea if they pre-seat) assuming that would be amenable to you.
