Can anyone recommend a hotel with a great beach and pool. Help Please!!

Define Great. By world definitions of Great Beaches, Key West isn%26#39;t one of them. ANYWHERE.

The Galleon has a decent - SMALL - beach and a pretty nice pool area.

Like Buffetguy said, the beaches are not GREAT, on Key West. Southernmost on the Beach, Casa Marina, Reach Resort and Pier House have small beaches, and they are all very nice hotels.

Casa Marina and The Reach on the Atlantic side have private beaches and nice pools. They are pricey.

Southernmost on the Beach has a small beach, not really for swimming and a couple of nice pools in the compound. Less pricey, but construction next door.

The Pier House has a small private beach on the gulf side. Also pricey. Close to the ';action';.

Prices vary by season. Summer is low season.

Think about your budget and read the reviews on this site.

We just stayed at the Azul KW on Truman and they have a lovely but small pool with cactus and flowers across the back of the pool. There%26#39;s a deck area to the side with tables and umbrellas as well as the deck area with a couple of loungers and chairs. I never saw more than 2 people in the pool area at a time so that might work for you. Their prices just dropped on June 1st (right after our stay) and the rooms are lovely.

We rented bikes and we biked to Ft Zach%26#39;s beach and Smathers. I thought Ft Zach had a nice beach area with picnic tables and nice trees if you needed shade. Smathers wouldn%26#39;t be on my return list personally but I hear it%26#39;s fun during high season since then there%26#39;s a crowd.

KW isn%26#39;t for beaching, it%26#39;s for checking out the town and hanging out!
