I am trying to get a bit trimmer for my holiday on the 5th of May.
In the last 2 weeks I have cut right down on my food and am eating all the sensible things like salad, fruit and veg.
I have been power walking and a little jogging for between 1 and 2 hours a day.
I have also been doing sit ups to work on my stomach.
I weighed mysef just now for the 1st time sinse I started and I have put on 4 pounds.
I also have a sore back and stomach and am stiff all over.
I think I will just go to the cheesecake factory.

I am roughly the same weight as Shamu so any adivse i could give you obcviousoy doesnt work. But i do know that Muscle weighs more than fat. So perhaps that is the answer. Even if you havent lost weight you must be feeling healthier.

Caz is right, you have probably just built muscle. Honestly though, who cares?? Eat what you want, consider yourself on pre-holiday diet, you need to start stretching out your stomach for American portion sizes and thats going to take some conditioning.
Muscle weighs more than fat so you can lose weight be fitter but also weigh more .

Billy, I look at a fairy cake, put on a stone...retired in Jan 08, went to orlando in jan, had 3 months off work put on 2 stone..now work in a hospital, as a porter, cut down on eating, on my feet most of the shift, lost a stone in 3 weeks..just by walking at a steady pace...no power walking,weights, etc...just steady walking...but I dont have any fried food...its all done in the oven.
Been doing the idiots%26#39; diet. Google idiot%26#39;s diet. It%26#39;s pretty neat. Already lost 4 pounds, have been on it for 3 days. By the way, I gained when I first started exercising too. But I noticed that my jeans were looser so figured it was muscle. Best wishes.
