Dining reservations in disney

Just booked my hotel for a week in July and next is the disney tickets. I am just now getting around to thinking about my dining reservations. We%26#39;re going on 4th July so I think I am leaving it a little late!! Hopefully we will get the restaurants we want. I will be calling from Ireland to reserve so was just wondering if anyone else had called from abroad and what the service was like. Will I need a credit card to confirm it or leave a deposit?

If you%26#39;re staying on Disney property they may ask for your reservation number for your hotel. They don%26#39;t need it though to make the dining reservations.

Just so you know, the US number is 407-WDW-DINE.

Since you%26#39;re going over the 4th, be sure to call ASAP! :)

I know I had better get a move on! Just another question, is 407 the area code for florida? or is there another code that would go before it(aswell as the one for the usa obviously)?

407 is the area code for Orlando.

I would have options ready, that way if you can%26#39;t get into your first choice you have a backup that hopefully you can get into.

If you are going to try to book Cinderella%26#39;s you will need a credit card, I think there may be a couple of other signature restaurants that require a credit card as well. Most, however, will only want your name and your reservation number if you are staying on property.

They don%26#39;t ask your reservation number when naking dining reservations. You don%26#39;t need to be staying at a WDW resort to make dining reservations.

The number they will ask for is your home telephone number. THAT is the number your ADRs are stored under, in their database.

IF you are staying at disney %26amp; have the dining plan, they WILL ask for your reservation number - that%26#39;s how they link it to your package.

I gave a credit card to hold Cinderella%26#39;s Royal Table even though we do have the dining plan. I believe I had to give it also for Auskerhaus in Epcot.

Im not staying in disney so that won%26#39;t apply to me anyway, I will have back up restaurants ready in case the one I want are sold out! Thanks
