We%26#39;re going to Orlando end of June for 6.5 days. We%26#39;re 2 adults, 2 17 yr olds, one 8 yr old that doesn%26#39;t like scary rides, and a 4 yr. old. We%26#39;re spending one day on the coast seeing a rocket launch, air boat on St. John%26#39;s and then beach %26amp; relaxation.
But my quandry is whether to spend the money to go to Sea World. My choices are:
1) A 5 day ticket to Disneyworld w Park Hopper %26amp; Water Parks which would certainly give us some choices every day,
or for virtually the same cost:
2) A 7 day ticket into the Disney theme parks only, plus 1 ticket to one Disney Water Park, and 1 day at Sea World, or
3) really save some money and just do #2 without Sea World.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
sea world or not to sea world

sea world or not to sea world
SeaWorld is a park with very few rides, but lots of shows and exhibits and hands-on stuff. If your family is more ';ride oriented'; in their likes, you may want to skip it. However, especially for the two younger children, the animal experiences and shows may be great.
End of June is going to be a very crowded time at Disney, and you may not be able to finish doing all there is to do at the theme parks on one day, especially if you have to ';take rest times'; for everyone due to the heat and humidity. If you have the money to do it, option #2 may be best to allow you the ability to go back to a park another day if you don%26#39;t get one finished.
Epcot and Magic Kingdom specifically are very large parks and take a very long time to do all there is to do in both, even during the off season, but especially during the peak summer season. Crowds can really slow you down, so be sure to take advantage of Fast Pass as much as you can.
I would recommend Seaworld, if only to break up the Disney experience a little, but it is one of my favourite parks.
SeaWorld would be a nice break in between, or so I thought so when we were there a few weeks ago. My 5 %26amp; 7 year olds said they had an okay time, but don%26#39;t want to go back. Didn%26#39;t care for all the waiting to see the shows.
I would go to Sea World, it%26#39;s one of my favourite park. Lots of great shows.
Seaworld is one of my favorite parks. It has great animal shows and wonderful opportunities for the children (and adults) to get up close and personal with the sting rays, dolphins, etc. My daughter loved it when she was 7 and she loved it two years ago at 16. IMO, Seaworld is a much more ';relaxing'; park to visit. There is no wasting half your day standing in lines to jump on a three minute ride. There are a few rides here, but it is mostly about the animal interaction and shows (which are great by the way). Make sure to stay for the fireworks show too, when I was there two years ago, it was very nice and different.
Anytime I%26#39;ve been to Seaworld, we get a one day ticket and you can go back again within the next five or seven days (I forgot which) for free.
Have you considered Busch Gardens instead of Seaworld? Thrill Rides for the Teenagers and Jungala section for the 4 %26amp; 8 year olds.
My ';Cool'; 15 year old loved Seaworld and that was his 1st Park choice to go to, but not sure if a 17 year old would enjoy it that much?
Caz Essex X
I would avoid seaworld
I dont beleive animals are here for our pleasure and trained to perform tricks for humans.
So go anywhere but this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What about the Mouse that has been trained to wave at everyone at Disney does that not constitute animal cruelty as well...I assume it is a real mouse?
If your 4 yr old and 8 yr old have never been to DW, I would definitly skip Sea World and do just DW. Save Sea World for a later trip unless they are infatuated with sea animals. Our first trip to DW, we tried to fit SW in and we had 6.5days and wished we would of skipped it.
