rosen centre

Hi we have just booked the rosen centre on i drive for 14 nights next april, been reading mixed reviews about this place, anyone stayed here recently? whats your opinions? thanks

hi stayed there 3 years ago, its not your normal hotel/motel, its HUGE !!!! its away from the hussle and bussle of main i-drive ,but nice hotel, mind you ,walking thru the lobby i felt outa place in shorts and t-shirt as its a mainly convention centre, but i found it very nice. i also live 4 miles from you in jarrow. anymore info i can help with just ask ,im going in sept,and will be renewing my wedding vows on treasure island beach around sunset time.... if you havent been, its FAAAAAAB !!!!!!!

we stayed there Dec 03. Huge hotel. Rooms were big and luxurious

It was obviously geared at the conference /large event crowd. There were lots of young teenage cheerleaders staying when we were - we soon learned to time it so we were not coming in when they had to checkin in with their coaches otherwise it took 20 mins to wait for a lift. We were on the 16th floor.

Didn%26#39;t eat there or swim in the pool but pool looked nice.

I also remember it being difficult to park/checkin when we arrived beccause a large wedding was on in the ballroom.

There was also a handy corner shop to one side of the hotel which my husband called into a few times for snacks and beer for the room.

we stayed twice at the renaissance and thats a conference type hotel, it didnt put me off, they knew we were on holiday thats why we dress like we do! i kind of felt sorry for them working lol

jarrow isnt far, go there quite often to visit my mother in law.

We stayed there in October 05, and thought it was great. Liked the location to the south of I drive, yet still walking distance to the restaurants/mini golf.

Used the deli/shop a lot, and there were loads of people there on conference, but that didn%26#39;t bother us.

Previously we had stayed in HoJo/Ramada motels and much preferred a big conference style hotel like the Rosen Centre to be honest.
