My family will there the last week of June at the Sun Spree, 2 kids 10 and 15 years old, 2 adults. We are limiting our eating out to 2-3 dinners, rest will be sandwiches in the room or whatever we can microwave. I have decided Hunt%26#39;s ostyer bar is a must and am leaning to the Captains Table, any info or suggestions of where else to try? Nothing fancy, nothing expensive, just good seafood.
3 Returants?
The Boatyard- hands down. Try Cilantro Spiced Mahi Mahi or BLT- bacon, lobster, tomato sandwich.

The Capts Table is supposed to be very good. One of our favorites year after year has been Montego Bay.
hunts, captains table, pier 77
I have to agree with Montego Bay, we go to the one on Thomas Drive, little hole in the wall but great food. The prices there are very reasonable and you get plenty to eat. You can check out their website to get an idea of what they have and how much so you can budget. Kids menu is good and large portions.
Be sure and check out the places that have an early dinner special that starts at 4:00. You can save some money when you eat out early.
If you are looking for something fun and not to expensive... check out the sunset dolphin tour at Captain Anderson%26#39;s marina. We really enjoyed it and it didn%26#39;t cost to much.
I%26#39;m sure you will get alot of ideas from many PCB fans. What part of TN are you from?

We%26#39;re just back from PCB 5-17 thru the 24th. Our hands down favorite for seafood is Boondocks. Uncle Ernies was very good and the restaurant has a wonderful waterfront location. We ate outside and it was one of our favorite meals. For a reasonable break from seafood we went to Sonnys Bar-B Que. We also enjoyed Hungry Howie%26#39;s Pizza the night we arrived and the night before we left. As for Hunt%26#39;s, the seafood was very good but it was our most expensive meal for the 5 of us. ($168.00)no alcohol but two appetizers. The service was good but I didn%26#39;t care for the neighborhood-Tan Fannies topless bar across the street just in front a a pretty rough looking apartment building where there was a domestic dispute ongoing from the balcony to the apt. parking lot below. It sort of felt like an episode of COPS. That said, Hunt%26#39;s was family friendly. It was just very small and we had to wait about 45 minutes outside. I enjoyed the waterfront location of Ernies and Boondocks alot more.
The Boatyard or Pier 77
Scampy%26#39;s on Thomas Drive is really good, not expensive and not fancy. They also have early bird specials.
I vote for Pier 77 and Shuckums. They both have excellent seafood and a good variety to choose from. The prices are pretty normal for PCB places. In fact I think Pier 77 prices were lower than what we have seen at other places.
Thanks to all (and keep suggestions coming) hungrier by the minute. Sharon, I am in Knoxville, Tn (GO VOLS) love to vistit Chattanooga as well, is the Pickle Barrell still is business?
Yes, the Pickle Barrel is still there.
Come on down!
