Crescent Arms

Was ready to pay deposit for Crescent Arms for end of May 2008. However it has not had good reviews recently now don%26#39;t know what to do. Need 8 nights from 24th May. Could also have Crystal Sands but $500 more, is it worth that much more ? Thanks

I own rental units at both Crescent Arms and Crystal Sands...as you may know, all units are individually owned and can vary in their interiors.

In my opinion Crystal Sands is ';better'; because units are much larger (300 sq feet +), and they have a great Ocean Front Pool (Crescent Arm%26#39;s Pool is back by the road).

But - they%26#39;re next door to each other and on the same great beach! So it%26#39;s pretty much up to you - how much do you want to spend? Crescent Arms is the best value!

I would send private messages to the TA posters who wrote reviews for Crescent Arms to get their feedback.

The reviews have not been wonderful, I agree.

Since you will be coming at the end of May, you will have lots of options.

Go to www.siestakeychamber.com or www.vrbo.com or www.siesta4rent.com for ideas.

Crystal Sands, Jamaica Royale, Sea Crest Apartments, Sea Club V and many others get good reviews.

Thanks for advise seems that condos can vary a lot within same building. I think we will go for Crescent Arms as like you say they both have the same great beach and good value, we are a family with 2 kids aged 12 %26amp; 15, and would have already spent a week in disney so the extra cash will come in handy! We also don%26#39;t intend on spending a lot of time in the condo with that great beach. Has anyone stayed at 201n with Sarasota beach rentals, photos look nice and it is full Gulf front. I know that cathys condos at crescent arms get good reviews its slightly more money not enough to make much difference.

thought I had made my mind up but been looking on internet. What do you think of midnight cove ? Looks lovely, could rent a huge 2 bed, gulf views for $250 more than crescent arms.

Just to update, we decided to go for Midnight Cove Gulf Side. Have just returned from a fab holiday there, I think we made the right choice for us. We loved the view, the short boardwalk through the sand dunes to the beach and the gulf side pool. The apartment was huge and recently decorated with lovely new luxury furniture. There was a family feel to the place, and everyone was very nice. It was also great to have plenty of beds and chairs on the beach. And the beach, well what can I say, it is fantastic, even better than the pictures, we fell in love with it. We will be back for sure !
