First timer's to SoBe....help!!!

Hello all-

Boyfriend and I are first timers to South Beach and need help with hotel selections and other entertainment while we%26#39;re there for 5 nights. He wants to stay at the Mandarin Oriental and I want to be closer to South Beach but can%26#39;t find an nicer hotel. I do know I would like to visit Sawgrass Mall, any other suggestions? I would also like a nice and relaxing nightlife, if possible. Any recommendations will be considered and thanks for your help!

Looks like you are looking for top level luxury and there

are several choices: Tides, Delano. Gavensport, Cabana

room at the National, Oceanfront room at the South Beach Mariott, the Raleigh, and the Sagamore. All are located

on the beach or across the road(Tides)%26gt; I would recomend

looking at the traveler photos for all of them. Also, the

Angler is quite posh with a small pool, no view but

two blocks from the ocean and a great restaurant.Hope

You might also want to consider the Setai on the extreme north end of South Beach about 1 block or 2 north of the hotels Sobeaddict mentioned. Very swanky!
