days inn convention centre i drive

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of the days inn convention center on international drive. Was wondering what the best way is to get there from MCO, how expensive would a taxi be? Was also wondering about the free shuttles to Disney, how often these depart and how reliable they are?

Thanks in advance!

**Cheapest** (I don%26#39;t claim ';best'; for this) would be LYNX no.42 bus at $1.75 per person each way. Every 30 minutes direct; journey time about 85 minutes.

Also, for your day-to-day travelling, as well as any shuttles that may be offered (which tend to be infrequent) check out how to make the trip by bus. The bus runs every 30 minutes direct to the Transportation Center (via DownTown Disney) from a stop about 1/4 mile away. This is LYNX 50. Also costs $1.75 each person each way.

Full details of the local bus service is at www.golynx.com; or ask here if you want more information.

Great thats really helpfull, thanks!

Does anyone know how expensive a taxi would be from mco to the days inn convention centre, (I thinks its really close to seaworld)on international drive. I dont think the bus will be an option for us as we are arriving so late. I just want to make sure I have enough cash on me to grab a taxi!

Thanks

We have just returned home, when we arrived at MCO we got a taxi to our hotel, homewood suites on I Drive, it was $38.00, would say you are about the same distance as we were so I would say budget in or around $40.00 plus tip.

great thanks!

If you want personal service, you can book a Mears Town Car for your party for $105 round trip. They meet you right at the baggage carousel and take you direct to your hotel; and meet you at your hotel reception and take you right to the airport.

Book it on the web; you pay in advance by (say) Credit Card in US$ so nothing to pay on the day (except maybe a tip). I%26#39;ve used www.mearstransportation.com for this. There are others.

Thats quite resonable actually, especially when you convert that to euros (the dollar is very weak against the euro at the moment). And might be quite useful for us seen as we are arriving so late. I must admitt I am little nervous about arriving so late to a city we have never been in and then trying to find our hotel. How safe is the international drive area at night time?

In my experience - there is no safety issue here at least until the mid-evening (I%26#39;m not a late stop-out) - but there are plenty of street lights, other people walking, people with special tricycles to give you a ride (for tips), and so on. I%26#39;ve never felt threatened in any way at all.
