A lot depends on the time of day and which route you take. Last August it took us 1 hour to get to Disneyworld using the I4 route at 8pm. If we had travelled 2 hours earlier it would have taken longer.

thank you for your help. as far as we know it will be around 4.30 on a friday in july. we will use the 417 route unless anyone can advise on a better one. i have only travelled from orlando international before. any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks again. mrs disney1

Yes, at 4:30 PM on a Friday, do use the 417 route.

Stay as far away from I-4 at that time of day as possible; evening rush hour traffic on Friday afternoon is nothing to be in the middle of.
