Best viewing Illuminations

Please help settle a ';discussion'; between my husband and myself. We are going to WDW in June. I say the best place to view is The English Pub, he says that is a bad spot due to wind %26amp; smoke. His pick is the fast food @ Mexican. Suggestions??

*note he worked in EPCOT but that was 19 years ago!

Fireworks cruise is the best hands down...I have done it 3 times now and it is always awesome. If it matters you do not even enter EPCOT so if you are not a ';park hopper'; you can go to a park and do the cruise in the same day, ask for Katie as your skipper she was great last trip.

Departs from the dock near the Yachtsman%26#39;s Steakhouse at the Yacht Club resort. Prices vary depending on if you are on your own boat, what kind of boat, etc. It%26#39;s included with the Platinum Plan.

We%26#39;ve done it twice, very cool.

It%26#39;s open to anyone, books up fast! If you are using it on the Platinum Plan your boat is shared with other plat folks.

Well, if you are not doing the cruise, it%26#39;s a toss up depending on which way the wind is blowing.

However, I%26#39;ve personally had better success seeing the Illuminations show from over near Mexico than over near the U.K. area.

The main thing that you want this area for is to see the video globe.

After reading this post I looked into one of these cruises, and could not get Illuminations cruise, but could get Wishes cruise. Is that a good one?
