we will need a bikinis and dh swimming shorts. what about towels? what else would u recommend to take? also we are going to seaworld before we do dc so how do we get into seaworld?

I%26#39;m relatively new with tripadvisor, so I don%26#39;t know how to ';bump'; up previous reports. I%26#39;m sure Chinners will do it though! Chinners is great! You really don%26#39;t need to take anything with you. we just got back (awesome! best day of the whole trip!) they give you towels, sunscreen, mask and snorkel, the vests (or wetsuit if preferred) really keeps you floating. We wore our bathing suits under clothes and they give you a locker (with a key you wear around your neck) so you can put in your clothes and your wallet, etc. We had our drivers license (for I.D.) and a credit card (if you purchase anything thru the gift shop they can just use you discovery id tag to charge it. Make sure that anywhere they have photographers you get your pictures taken! they will scan your DC I.D. and at the end of the day if you buy the CD, all those pictures will be there for you to print out or email anytime you want! Make sure to bring some waterproof cameras too!

I believe if you have your ';conformation'; of your Discovery Cove reservations, that%26#39;s all you need to get into SeaWorld even before you go to Discovery Cove.

Double check the website to make sure you have what you need.

Yes, the website and letter will tell you what to do if you visit sea world first (make sure to let sea world know at the gate that you are going to discovery cove and they give you a ';shamu preferred parking'; pass for your windshield. This allows you to park right at the entrance to sea world! it was wonderful!

Be sure to do a search on the forums for discovery cove, there are lots of posts about it and suggestions.

Since you are going to DC, I%26#39;m assuming you enjoy the wildlife ... if you have time (only about an hours drive to Cocoa Beach) look up Fin Expeditions (finexpeditions.com) he is absolutely wonderful and takes you on a 3 hour tour to see dolphin, wild birds and manatees. you can even get in the kayaks and get to the ';manatee level';! that was the 2nd best day of the trip!

Take whatever you use to wash with, with u! They have no soap, shower gel or anything like that there and boy do u need it after swimming with the dolphins!

thanks we did not book through discovery cove themselves so do we use the letter we got off atd. so as you go in to seaworld we need to tell them that we are doing dc and we will have preferred parking? will tankinis fit under a wetsuit?

Yes, tankinis will fit. we chose the vest and it zips up front and was much easier. (you know, for bathroom purposes! ha ha!)

when you pull into sea world you get to the ';parking'; gate first, that is where you show them you will be going to DC and that is where you will get the parking pass. As the guys in the parking lot direct all the cars, they will see your pass and keep directing you toward the main entrance to the park (we were in spot #2 at the gate!!)

OH, actually the have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in large pump bottles attached to the wall of the showers! so you don%26#39;t have to bring those in with you.
