First of all, I planned this my first trip to the Keys almost entirely by searching posts in this forum. You guys perform a valuble service, and I thank you.
Landed in Miami, rental car agency provided directions to the Turnpike, no problems. Card Sound Rd is well marked, as I took that route.
Stopped for lunch in Largo at Capt Shon%26#39;s. Good food, but no fish and chips in the world is worth $19.95!
Stayed overnight in Islamorada, The Islander Resort. Dinner at Morada Bay Beach Cafe. Fantastic views with outside seating. Didn%26#39;t mind the long wait for a table, as sitting with a drink looking at the sunset is not half bad.
Fed Tarpons at Robbie%26#39;s, and on to Key West. Stayed at Duval Gardens, nice accomodations on the quiet end of Duval. Walked everywhere. By the way, the Sunset Deck at One Duval is no longer there, but there weren%26#39;t too many people at Mallory, so it worked out fine. Meals at Conch Republic,Half Shell Raw Bar,Bo%26#39;s, and Pepe%26#39;s.Toured Butterfly House,Hemingway House, Audobon House.
Instead of dessert at the restaurants, we would grab slices of Key Lime Pie at stands on Duval on the way home, and enjoy them on the front porch of Duval Gardens.
Definitly will be back!

Enjoyed your report. Thanks for taking the time to write it.
Sounds like a fun trip, leaving in 2 weeks and I can almost taste the pie, thanks for that tip.
Thank you for the report!
Thanks for sharing.
We stayed at Duval Gardens in years past and I kind of forgot how much I enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning and watching Key West wake up.
