Here's stupid!

Stupid I know, But how come when you try and book a fly drive with virgin for instance, you only get the flight?

How come it is not both flight and car rental?

Its probaly a stupid question to all you seasoned travellers, but its the first time we have attempted this.

Here's stupid!

I%26#39;m confused. Why do you think you don%26#39;t get a car? That the whole point of %26#39;flydrive%26#39;, it would only be %26#39;fly%26#39; if you didn%26#39;t get the car! I%26#39;ve just been on the Virgin Holidays website to try and book a flydrive, and after you%26#39;ve chosen your flights, entered passenger info, you then come to the page which shows you you%26#39;re %26#39;free%26#39; car, and gives you the option to upgrade the car and buy the insurance for it.

I assume you are trying to book it through Virgin Holidays, rather than Virgin Atlantic?

Either way, before booking a flydrive from a travel company like Virgin Holidays, First Choice, etc., check how much it would cost you to book your flights and car hire separately. Once you%26#39;ve factored in the car insurance you%26#39;ll need to buy if you book a flydrive, it might be cheaper to book the bits separately.

Here's stupid!

This is probably a good thing for you.

The Virgin Flydrive is one of the most expensive ways of doing it...........the car might be free but its only for 1 week and you still have to pay an exorbitant insurance fee.

A 2 week vacation this way will cost loads more than booking individual flights and car hire seperately.
