sheraton sand key - location?

Hi

we%26#39;re coming to Fl in April and looking for a beachside hotel in Clearwater area. We usually like to walk out for drinks/dinner in the evening -can anyone advise if Sheraton Snd key is well located for this?

Sand key is quieter part of the beach, but there are a few places to eat. The Columbia is a great restaurant I would recommend. Also, the Cabana Club is a bar/restaurant that is near the Sheraton. If you really are looking for more activities you may want to stay on Clearwater Beach as you will have alot more options to dine and drink.

Thanks for your advice. Am also looking at Clearwater Hilton and Sand Pearl Resort. Would they be better location do you think?

The Sheraton is not really close to bars / places to eat if you are looking to walk - you would need to drive.

Having said that, it is a great locations, right on the beach. We have stayed here the past few years and always think the hotel and service is great.

A 10 min drive will take you round to Clearwater Beach where there are numerous beach front bars etc... There are also hotels round this side ( I think Sandpearl is round there, but further up the beach)

Your options of what you can walk to will be limited staying on Sand Key. From the Hilton or Sandpearl, you will be able to walk to a greater number, and variety of activities, restaurants, bars and shops. Plus, they are directly on the main beach.
