Snorkeling: Sebago vs. Pennekamp

We%26#39;re going to the Keys in June, and we%26#39;re planning to spend a half-day or so snorkeling. We%26#39;re comparing the snorkeling trip offered at John Pennekamp in Key Largo and the trip to Rock Reef offered by Sebago Watersports in Key West. How does the snorkeling at this two locations compare? Thanks, MH

Snorkeling: Sebago vs. Pennekamp

I,ve only done the Sebago trip, both the half day and the all day, and if you%26#39;re staying in Key West the Sebago has to be a lot more convenient; you can most likely walk to and from the boat and all of your equipment and snacks are provided.

and I%26#39;ve only done the 1/2 day (afternoon session) at John Pennekamp in Key Largo a few years ago. The day was overcast and water was a little coudly. The actual snorkeling experience (boat, staff, equipment, location) were all top notch.

I%26#39;m doing a 1/2 day of Snorkeling in Key West over memorial day - I%26#39;ll post a review upon my return to give you more feedback.

Only one way to find out....

The best diving and snorkling has always been the Upper Keys. June is a great time of the year for the Keys is waters are warm and the viz is wonderful. I am out on the water all year I for the most part the winter months are the worst when it comes to the waters, The winds here pick up and the viz can go to a hand basket. But the Summer months are just wonderful.

Upper Keys no doubt about it............
