Pink Shell-White Sands vs. Estero Island Beach Villas

Hi-

We are going to the Pink Shell and are going to stay in either the 2BR gulf front villa in the White Sands or Estero Island building. Would anyone recommend one building over the other?

Pink Shell-White Sands vs. Estero Island Beach Villas

We haven%26#39;t been to the Pink Shell for the last couple of years but I always preferred the Estero Island Beach Villas. The White Sands is newer but the units are a little smaller. You will have a lot of people tell you the White Sands is nicer, I think it%26#39;s just a little newer,but for the money we liked the Beach Villas. The parking is covered under the building and very close to the elevator. Parking for White Sands is across the street and out in the blazing heat-when we were last there it was a sand lot-big pot holes when it rains. If you stay in the beach villas you have access to all the pools. We spend very little time in the room except in the evening. The beach villas have a very nice view of the gulf, bigger balconies than White Sands and you don%26#39;t get all the pool noise.

I saw nothing in the White Sands that was worth the money they charge. In my opinion,all the facilities at the Pink Shell are a solid 3 star, but in the several years we stayed there I saw nothing that approached the 4 star rates they charge. I hope you have a great time.

Hi. We stayed in the Sanibel View Building and LOVED it last July (07) - we ended up getting a great rate through AAA - our 4th night was free.

I highly recommend this property, however, I have no experience w/the White Sands or Estero Island Building. As far as location, if I remember correctly, Estero Island Building seemed to set back further???

White Sands is in between Sanibel View and Estero Island Beach Villas. I don%26#39;t think it sets back any farther, in fact when you%26#39;re on your balcony there%26#39;s nothing below you but a boadwalk onto the beach. At White Sands you have the Octopool and Bongo%26#39;s and the porch of the White Sands Building. Sanibel View is nice but much smaller than either of the other two previously mentioned-more of a sleeping room with a small kitchenette.
