Wednesday 2nd April - Typhoon Lagoon
As usual i woke up at 5.30a.m. When we stay onsite its not so bad coz i can have a leaisurely laze in the bath but the Int Plaza only has a shower. So i quietly get ready and go down to the Coffee spot and get myself a cappachino and read the latest Jordan auotbiography. Its blissfully quiet this time of the morning and its my favourite time of the day on holiday. And then....dun..dun..dunnnnn I get out a cigarette! I know i gave up 2 months ago but this was always my early morning ritual on Holiday and for some strange reason i really missed it. You should of seen me though i wasnt even inhaling it down i was just puffing it straight back out. It was a mental thing, i cant explain.I must have looked a right freak. I go back to the room at 8.30 to get everyone up. Danny %26amp; Jai take an hour to get ready. How can boys do that?? I hate having to wait for them to get ready and im top of them all the time to move faster. I know we%26#39;re on Holiday but i want to make the most of it. We get on the Hotel shuttle bus and get off at the Ticket %26amp; Transportation centre hoping to catch a bus to Typhoon Lagoon. But NO! We have to walk though the T %26amp; %26amp; Centre to catch the Ferry of Monorail to the Magic Kingdon. We waited for half an hour to just getonto the ferry. We then realise that we have to get a Disney bus to a Disney Hotel and then get a Disney bus to Typhoon Lagoon. Talk about going round the bleeding houses. 2 AND A HALF FREAKING HOURS IT TOOK US TO GET THERE!!!!!We left at were supposed to leave at 9.40 but left at 9.45 and got there at 12. Now im fuming and my face is as red as my hair. I like to get there b4 it opens and get our usual spot as in previous years. But we end up getting a bed near Crush n Gusher over the back. This is my favourite water park of all and spend most of my day floating around the lazy river. I didnt go on any rides because of my wrist so i spent all day lazing around. Only thing a dont like about T.L is the rough holey footpaths which are%26#39;nt always level and for some reason i am the only one who constantly stubs their toe. Also the prickley texture on the floor in the wave pool could do with skimming over. I know they cant have a slippery surface but that is just extreme, the amount of kids i saw crying with scratched knees and elbows. What was hysterical was when i was sitting at the base of the wave pool. I saw a fully grown man who chucked himself into the wave when the water was only knee high. If dragged him on his belly all the way up to my feet!It was so hysterical that i couldnt stop screaching with laughter and i think i was so amazed at his stupidity that i actualy said to him '; you wont be doing that again in a hurry will you einstein!'; i know it was wicked but the words just came out.I had tears streaming down my face. It was one of those moments when you think about for days afterwards and still cant help yourself collapsing into a fit of giggles. He pulled himself up pretty sharpish hoping that no one had seen him and did a manly strut off. I think the park closed at 6 so Frank wanted to start getting our stuff together about 5. We waited for the boys to come back and Frnks went with the bag and locker key to go and get himself changed. 2 minutes later the heavens opened.Frank took 20 minutes to come back. How can it take someone so long to pull their shorts down, dry their body and put on a t-shirt n pair of jeans. 20 MINUTES!!
I was fuming by the time he came back becoz everyone had just chucked their clothes on and headed for the exits. I snatched the bag from him and went to the ladies. It took me 5 minutes. Needless to say we had to wait for a cab but because all the normal people who oinly took 5 minutes to get changed had already grabbed a taxi. Eventually got back to the hotel at 7 and got ready to go out for dinner. We went to Denny%26#39;s. Danny had a BLT sandwich %26amp; chips, Jai had pancakes and bacon and a whole pot of maple syrup, I has a meat thing with mushroon, cheese and onion which was like a posh meatloaf and Frank got a smack round the earhole. Only joking he had a steak.2 beers, 1 sprite, 1 milkshake and 1 coke and a takeaway Oreo Sundae for pigface (Danny). The bill came to $60 which wasnt bad. Over dinner we had a conversation about the boys wanting to buy an i pod. I had been pointed in the right direction where to get these. Bus stop no. 20 Bargin World.I was told that this man was straight up no sales garbage and was honest with his opinions who didnt try to sell you the dearest thing in the shop. So we all agreed to go shopping together for these.I went into Walgreens, Frank was in another shop and the boys were waiting outside. or so i thought!!Im halfway around the supermarket stocking up on Spray Sun Screen, ( I love the coppertone clear spray). Frank catches up with me , followed by the boys. They%26#39;ve bought an i pod each from a shop a few doors away!!Danny%26#39;s was called Zoom which was $70 and Jais was $100. Jai wanted to change his one to the same memory capacity as Dannys which was lower, but the man said he could change it but wouldnt give him the difference in price back. What a rip off merchant. Frank went in their and told them that if these i pods break when getting them back to the UK he was back in the country in a few months and would be expecting a refund.Serves them right coz they should have listened to me.
Got on the i ride and headed home at 10.30pm.
Thursday 3rd April - Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens - Ive so been lokking forward to this because havent been for 10 years. Already pre-booked shuttle from UK. I was a bit dissapointed bcoz it wasnt one of those buses that had the decoration down the sides. It was a boring white coach and a wanted a painted one.Left Seaworldat 9.15 and arrived at 10.30. It was really strange walking around a park i wasnt familiar with, normally i know what to go on 1st and where everything is. I was out of my comfort zone.Went on the skyline 1st which was nice but didnt really see much. Headed towards to Safari rides but the realised they had to be paid. So next time we will book the one where you can feed the Giaraffes off the back of the truck. Headed towards the Hippo tour that had to be prebooked and paid for also. What we did see was the underwater Hippo viewing area. normally in other parks i have only seen them at a distance. But these ones swam right past us for about 10 minutes. It will hopefully look fantastic on the camcorder. Walked around the park for a bit, Danny %26amp; Jai had naffed off on their own. Went to look at the Sheikra ride. HOW CAN ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND FIND THAT ENJOYABLE??? I was petrified just watching it. seriously. Finally i convinced Frank into going on the River Rapids. Yippeeee!!
Oh my god i was nearly decappatated! We had just set off and it moved or stopped so violently that the belt buckle dug into my hip so much that i couldnt sleep on that side for the rest of the Holiday, but not only that i actually let my arms at the same time, involuntarily flail about and ended up smacking the girl in the mouth sitting next to me.
I was so embarased and couldnt stop apologising for the whole ride.Anyway we all got absolutely soaked to the skin. and apart from the dislocated hip and GBH assault i loved it.The next ride we went on (i dont remeber the name of it). We weaved along the zigzag lines to the end of the que, and who was infront of me?..... the girl i%26#39;d just smacked in the gob!You could see this look of fear creep up into her face and eyes as she realised who i was (once seen never forgotten). And although i was really sorry what happened i couldnt help but start giggling about what she was thinking about and what would i do to her on this ride. So i had to leave the que. Then went on this lovely train ride which lasted something like 30-45 minutes if you stayed on till the end. Half way through all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye i saw something of a bundle beside the train. Everyone started screaming and yelled at the train driver to stop. Someone said that a child had fallen off of the train and then there was this sickening bump. Me being a drama queen thought that she had been run over. But NO.... some STUPID WOMAN had dropped her babys dummy out of the carriage and decided to jump out after it.
How stupid can you get?No one had been run over it was just the way the train stopped quickley. Honestly my blood ran cold when i thought it was a child. I could have quite happily ran that stupid woman over though!Walked to the Gorilla enclosure and was lucky enough to see the Baby (Dont know how old it was). but that was the highlight of my day as i absolutely adore any kind of monkeys (apart from baboons bottoms).I could have stayed there all day watching it, it was so cute.Had a very late lunch and by now we only had an hour left before we had to get back on the bus. So we headed basck towards Sheikra. Franks reason for not going on it was because he was wet???? SO?? At least i admit when im too scared to go on a ride. So i told him i was going to tell everyone back in UK that he chickened out of going on it which didnt go down very well.Took longer to get home. Left at 7pm (Coach driver told us 6) and got back to the hotel atn 8.45. Cant wait to go again at Xmas becoz i will book the Rhino and Safari Tour.
Friday 4th April - Typhoon Lagoon
Decided we needed another semi relaxing day so we wanted to go to Blizzard Beach. Ordered a Mears taxi for 9.30. Told the driver Blizzard Beach, no problem. But for some reason i changed my mind and went to Typhoon Lagoon again instead. luckily i did coz as we were driving in i noticed a sign saying that BB was closed for the day. I would not have been happy if we had drove to BB and then had to turn round and go to TL. The cab driver must have known it was closed but he still would have gone to get extra money out of us. Swine!Another lovely day.
Cant remeber what we did in the evening. Must have had sunstroke or something.
Saturday 5th April- Magic Kingdom
This is the park that brings back my childhood memories. I think i first went in 1981. I remember i was the first girl in my school to go to Disney World. Ive always had a thing about the Castle even though Cinderella isnt my favourite film.It has always been my dream to be proposeed to inform of the Castle. No it didnt happen this time either but boy did he not forget it, i can tell you.(Mind you can you blame him?).Went straight to space mountain it said 20 minute wait but was actually only 10. I love this ride now. It was the first coaster i went on as a child and i was so scared that i closed my eyes all the way through. Got brave in August and went on it for the 2nd time and now i love it.Next onto Stitch and Buzz rides. But all day all i was waitng for was the Parade.Danny n Jai went off on there own and said they might possibley pop over to Epcot even though they thought it was a pile of manure. That wasnt they%26#39;re description.. all holiday all we got was Zoom Ipod - manure. Epcot - manure. Lovely little Angels.
Da da daaaaaaa. It%26#39;s 2.30 time to get our spots for the Parade. All the kerb was already taken. But cleverly i soptted a free bit off space infront of a rubbish bin. So i plonked myself down and sneakily edged the bin backwards giving me enough space. Frank stood above me behind the bin.Note to every one if the weather is hot take a towel to sit on on the kerb, in August it was so hot i couldnt sit down.
Everytime we have seen the Parade it always rain so have very rarely seen the full thing. Cos aparently they dont have a full one if it is raining. And here i am sitting on the kerb watching this black cloud come towards us and yes bang of 3 o clock the heavens open. We didnt have ponchos but thought nah we%26#39;ll be ok it will pass soon. Bit by bit everyone started dwindling away, even those in ponchos. The rain was getting heavier. Frank asked me if we were going to take cover? Nope im sitting here until i see the parade and im not moving, i turn back, cross my arms and sit there like a spoilt brat. The rain got heavier and heavier, in the end i was the only person sitting there, everyone else had scappered. Even Frank! It was only when they made an announcement that the Parade had been cancelled that i got up stomped off through the puddles to find Frank. So once again not in the best of moods i text Danny to ask where he is? And do you know where he is??? He was at the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort hotel!!How the hell did he get there and why i dont know. But aparently Jai knew a girl who comes from Billericay and she turned out to be on the same flight as us, so throughout the holiday they met up a few times. Then it starteed to Thunder and i got scared so we got on a Disney Bus to the Caribbean Hotel.Even my knickers were soaked we were that wet. And what did Danny say ';what happened to you';?they hadne even known that it had been raining cos they were in her room (Dont worry her mum was ther 2 ) I could have throttled him .The weather just got worse and worse so we got in all had a lovely hot shower (Obviously not together)got im my JimJams and watched TV.Pizzahut again !

Glad you%26#39;re back - get ready for me to pick yur brains!! Some people are a liability in water parks aren%26#39;t they! I always smile when i see that lone visitor sat waiting for the parade in torrential rain - now I can say its probably caz! Its the Britsh resolve! We were the only ones in the lazy river in typhoon lsgoon during a downpour - we figured we were wet anyways!
Can%26#39;t believe how quickly your time away went - i bet it went even quicker for you!
Thanks for the updates, I bet you wish you got a car now! haha!
I so look the typical tourist with my new 2008 bum bag, crocs n socs , complete with jibbitz and my spray water fan.I even laugh at myself thinking what i must look like

Thanks for the laughs Caz, hilarious trip report and no you%26#39;re not the only one who stubs their toes on the TL floor. I also agree they need to skim over that wave pool. I%26#39;m sure that%26#39;s what made the backside of my costume thread bare revealing my a*** to all. You know what it%26#39;s like trying to clamber into those rings with a big fat a*** sticking up in the air, well mine was well and truly on show for everyone in the lines to see. I%26#39;ll never live that one down!
