Hi! We%26#39;ll be staying on Siesta Key, but want to take a trip to Sharkey%26#39;s in Venice to eat and look for sharks%26#39; teeth. I hear the beach near Sharkey%26#39;s is good, but so is Casperson Beach. Is that a walk down the beach from Sharkey%26#39;s? Or if we drive is there public parking by Casperson Beach? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks...
Parking at Venice/Casperson Beach?Yes. Casperson Beach has a parking lot. It%26#39;s on the south end of Venice Island.

Parking at Venice/Casperson Beach? Thanks, SRQgirl! I figured you%26#39;d be able to answer my question! :o)
Sharky%26#39;s is at Casperson Beach---one and the same. The beach itself is not so great, but does have sharks teeth.
Thanks - we%26#39;ll be staying on Siesta Key, so we%26#39;ll only be at Casperson for sharks%26#39; teeth hunting - not for the beach itself. My little guys will think that is so cool. On Sanibel they could look for shells for hours!!
We stay at Siesta Key every summer. Last June we ate at Sharkey%26#39;s and then drove to the public parking at Casperson. I loved that beach. My daughter had a ball finding the sharks teeth. It is very different beach from Siesta Key. The evening we were there(about 7:00 PM) there were very few people. It reminded me of what old time undeveloped Florida must have been like. We are going again this year. Now Sharkey%26#39;s is a different story. We will never eat there again - over priced tourist trap with bad service. If you must eat there save some money and eat on the deck outside - inside they charge much more for very mediocre food. The pier is nice to stroll along, but you can do that without eating there - just my opinion!
