Only one day...

Hey everyone, unfortunatly we only have one full day in Destin, so I was hoping you could help me out with the ';must dos'; for a day. We%26#39;re definitely gonna go on the Original SeaBlaster and eat at Dewey Destin%26#39;s. By the way, all must be preschooler-friendly.

Wow - if I only had one day - I think I would spend it on the beach.

I would change the seablaster to Southern Star Dolphin Cruises. MUCH more child friendly! Do a search. I would rather have my children screaming at the joy of seeing dolphins than be on a boat where they serve free beer!

I also vote for hanging out at the beach all day... why only one day?

Another vote here for hanging on the beach. However, the Southern Star Cruise is a good idea. We did that and enjoyed it immensely. It is a two hour tour(Insert Gilligan%26#39;s Island theme here with an hour change. Sing it with me: ';A TWO hour tour....A two hour tour.) and the pre-schoolers might get a might restless.

You%26#39;ll see where Jaws 2 was filmed and also see a house that used to belong to Bette Midler and a few other touristy-neat kind of things. But my guess is the wee ones will love rolling in the sand. Think about Another Broken Egg for a getaway breakfast. Might not be fast but will be very, very good. Large menu.

Only one day because it comes on the tail end of a vacation in PCB and to stay any longer would put us into Memorial Day weekend and consequently into debt!

We will definitely spend some time at the beach, Henderson State Park, maybe? Is that a good spot? Our hotel is not on the beach.

We%26#39;re gonna go on the SeaBlaster because it is similar to the Sea Screamer in PCB, which my little one loves. He could care less about dolphins he%26#39;s in it for the speed. We tried a calm cruise with him once and to say he was less than thrilled would be an understatement. Thanks for the recommedation though, it sounds like something I would really enjoy, being a huge Jaws fan.

Here is my unsolicited recommendation - cut your trip to PCB a little shorter and stay an extra day in Destin! It would be so worth it!

Henderson State Park is a wonderful choice. Very beautiful and also with full facilities, including B-Rooms and picnic tables under pavillions.

I think the cost is something line $4.00 per day per car.
