Help!!

Hi all, i will be in florida in october, it will be my 3rd time but my first hiring a car?. I will be based in international drive and as i have a car i really fancy seeing a bit more of florida than just the parks?. Has anyone been to daytona and if so how long does it take by car from the i-drive area?,what about the keys, is it worth driving down there and how long would it take?, any help will be gratefully received,thank you in advance!

you will more responses on the Orlando forum as you are based there it will be OK.

But, despite the fact I don%26#39;t like Idrive at all, I do like Orlando in small doses. I stay in LBV mostly.

Daytona is about 1.5 hours away approx. Many people like it, I hate it. It is too busy, too touristy, too tacky, and too dirty for me. But others love it so go if you like- try the Daytona forum for why should you go for a more positive slant.

The gulf coast is fantastic, form north of Tampa all the way to Marco Island. I highly rec the south of Tampa barrier Idlands Anna Maria, Longbaot, Siesta, Manasota keys. The driveis from bout 2 hours to 4 to Naples and 4.5 to Marco.

Miami is fun, esp at night, and the keys are great. Lots to do see there form lazing around on beaches at pools, fishing, or hitting the nightlife in KW. Something there for everyone depending on if you are fun loving singles, or families with kids. the drive is 4 hours from Orando to Miami, 5.5 to Marathon key, and 7-8 hours to KW west aprox.
