I am traveling to Disney in Nov with three small children and grandparents in tow. We are looking for an upscale 4 bedroom rental home with pool, game room, etc. I am willing to pay for amenities/luxury and do not mind being a little further from Disney. We stayed at Reunion last year and were fine with that distance. I am looking at Windsor Hills,Formosa Gardens, Emerald Island, Legacy Park and Lake Berkley. Any recommendations/advice would be MUCH appreciated (the amount of info is overwhelming!) Thanks in advance.
Upscale rental in Disney area
My vote would be for Windsor Hills.
Have also stayed in Emerald Island, Windsor Palms and Formosa, but love the new and updated amenities of the Windsor Hills community. You didn%26#39;t mention the ages of your kids, but WH has a lovely park and fantastic communal pool as well as many many homes which will fulfill your needs.
Try vrbo.com or cyberrentals for rentals through private owners.

How would you compare Emerald Island to Windsor hills. I have stayed at WINDSOR Hills and now looking at Emerald. Aside from the community pool which we didn%26#39;t use much, how do the homes and look of the neighbourhood compare. Thanks
I usually rent in Formosa Gardens. They cost a bit more, but in MHO are worth it for the quiet and privacy. They have large homes all with 30%26#39; or larger pools and more importantly, all on large pieces on land. It%26#39;s the classiest place BUT there are no shared amenities as you%26#39;ll get at Windsor Hills or Emerald Ilse. The homes are well furnished and nearly all have game rooms. My favorite agency is Blue Ribbon Rentals. Look at their %26#39;Estate Homes%26#39; list - that%26#39;s their highest grade.

Also I%26#39;ve had decent luck with All Star Vacation Homes and their 5* villas. Overall, they seem a tad generous with the rating and I have had a couple that don%26#39;t have good kitchen supplies and uncomfortable furniture, but overall, they%26#39;re still good.

Good luck!
Thank you so much for the responses. One last question-- does anyone feel strongly about renting through an agency versus going directly with the owner (using vrbo.com)? The prices seem to be so much better with vrbo.com-- am I being foolish to save money here? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks again.
I%26#39;ve rented both ways. About all I can say is - if anything goes wrong, make sure an owner has a local agency on call to handle things. I usually end up with one call at least during a stay. Plumbing, electronics, pool heat, whatever. I%26#39;ve had good stays with owners, but they DID have a local agency. I%26#39;ve had mediocre stays with agencies. Of all the agencies I%26#39;ve used, Blue Ribbon the best value for the money. Owners will given better bargains.
We did this article for Sanibel, but the basic info still applies
