Excited to be visiting Vero Beach at the end of the month. We have reservations at Vera Beach Hotel and Club. We booked ocean view not oceanfront. Does anyone think we should book Ocean front? Is the view that much better?

Where do the locals eat? Wanted suggesstions for breakfast,lunch and dinner. Good food at a reasonable price.

The Ocean Grill is good but more on the expensive side. The Patio has a good lunch and has daily specials. Toojays deli is ok for lunch, has sandwhiches etc.

I don%26#39;t usually get down there for breakfast, but Toojays does have a breakfast menu and there is a Cracker Barrel out near I-95. Beachside I think there are a couple of small places that serve breakfast. If you research some of the posts on here you will find some suggestions.

The Vero Beach club that you are staying at has its own restaurant (brand new), but since you have to be a guest or club member to dine there on less than 2 days%26#39; notice, I haven%26#39;t tried it.

Next door to that resort is the Reef Ocean Resort, that has a well-known local establishment called ';bobby%26#39;s'; that is pretty good. I%26#39;d make that a lunch stop, since dinner can be busy.

A little further down the street, on the west side is a nice restaurant called ';lemon tree'; which I%26#39;d recommend for dinner (no lunch served). The same owners recently closed ';polo grill'; on the same street, and I lament the loss of my favorite %26#39;splurge%26#39; meal in Vero.

The Ocean Grill is also a short walk from your hotel, and it is generally well-reviewed and has been in Vero forever. My parents ate there on their honeymoon almost 40 years ago!

Breakfast is a little harder to find in this area (the beach). I drive to Panera Bread just over the bridge for unlimited coffee and a place to use my computer, as do many locals.
