Downtown cape coral?

Have found an amazing looking holiday home in cape coral including a dock and powerboat. I am thinking of booking it but want to check out the location with the experts on here. I like to walk to nice restaurants, The owner says it is a 10 minute walk to the older part of downtown cape coral where there are restaurants including a Japanese a Mexican and an Italian. Is this a nice part of town and does it feel like a centre or is it just restaurants spread out on a main road?

it is in the SE on SE 43rd terrace. is this a nice area?

Yes, good area ... we actually stayed at a friend%26#39;s place on SE 37th St which is less than a mile North.

And you%26#39;re about half mile from the main drag, Del Prado Blvd, which runs N to S through Cape Coral.

I%26#39;m not sure what area is called downtown but Del Prado itself has many restaurants on it.

You%26#39;re also less than two miles from Cape Coral Pkwy which is a main E to W road, so there should also be restaurants along it. CCPkwy is the road that goes across to Ft. Myers.
