Chefs de France...how has your experience been??

Hubby and I want to g to Chefs de France in May, but have read some posts that people have had bad experiences on the dining plan such as bad attitudes from waiters, stingy portions, etc. Just wanted to know what people%26#39;s thoughts were. Thanks.

Chefs de France...how has your experience been??

We went two times, once in Feb.2006, and once in Nov.2006. Both times we thought it was really nice. The lobster bisque is wonderful. I found the waiter and waitress we had were both very great. It was fun to ask them questions about France, etc. The restaurant itself is very pretty. On one visit we were able to sit right by the front windows, which is the best seating...We have made reservations there again for Sept. I know every restaurant can differ from visit to visit...we used to like Alfredos in Italy, then, we had a couple really bad experiences-now we can%26#39;t bring ourselves to try it again. So, some people may have gone to Chefs on a bad night...IMO the food, atmosphere, and staff have always made Chefs worth it! Hope this helps!

I thought it was lovely! My brother thought the waitress was cute. I would say some of the wait staff had kind of stereotyped ';French'; attitudes. But we didn%26#39;t have a problem. I think we had a lovely meal with good service, maybe just not stellar. And I%26#39;d agree with the above poster, the Lobster Bisque is wonderful. Lobster Bisque is one of my favorite dishes, so usually when it%26#39;s on a menu I order it, so I%26#39;d like to think when I say it%26#39;s good, it really is...haha, but you know, to each their own :) When people ask for recommendations in Epcot, Chefs de France is in my Top 3.

oh, and this is for tryingtohavefun: we also used to LOVE Alfredo%26#39;s, but then it went down hill and we stopped going. They recently changed the restaurant to ';Tutto Italia.'; Might be worth another try at some point...

Have eaten at Chefs de France several times and loved it. Only once did we come across staff with attitude, that was the maitre d, however, as someone else said, I think that%26#39;s a bit on purpose to fit the Parisian stereotype. Beautiful decor and wonderful food. Definitely try it.

We love this place and try to eat there whenever we%26#39;re at Epcot. They could have a better wine list but the service and food are just fine.
