I Know this is going to sound crazy but,
With many more traveler coming to this Great City by car ( since Skybus bit the dust) I thought it might be a good topic.
I did not see any info on the search so here are the questions
Where to locals go to get a good honest car repair ? You know things that might happen on a driving trip like;
1) Brakes are making sounds
2) Need some tires
3) Maybe a tune up to get better gas mileage!
4) Belts
Simple things like this that could make a great vacation a horror story
So whats the scoop locals I know everyone has a car and they have had some sort of repairs to it!
Where in St Augustine to get Auto repairs
Good question! I am sure the locals have more information, but I had great service at the place on San Marco Street next to The Cozy Inn Motel. (across from their suites)
I am sorry I don%26#39;t have the name of the repair shop.
We had a power failure with our minivan (an electronic sensor had died) and they had us back on the road in NO time! They provided towing as well. They didn%26#39;t overcharge and worked quickly.

Nickie, you are probably refering to Jacalone and sons(not mob related). I have had service there and have had good treatment. In answer to the original post, I take brake problems to a brake shop, tire problems to a tire shop, etc. Any other problems, I would call AAA if your a member. If not, check with your hotelier, and they can usually point you in the right direction.
I usually either take it to good year service or wallmart for tire ,oil and filter change for breaks there is a brake service nearby 207 on usi but there is car service jacklon%26#39;s and sons nearby downtown also for breaks and tires.
If u are staying on the island there is brake service oil and filter change nearby ocean trace road i think there is another car service on 6th street or 7th.

We use St. Augustine Auto Service, a good honest shop and send my employees here too. He fixes all kinds of cars (ours is a toyota). He is a NAPA shop.
904-829-6347: 1685 U.S. 1 So. in the K-Mart shopping center on U.S. 1. I highly recommend his work.
The repair shop across from the cozy inn is RICHBOURG CERTIFIED AUTO REPAIR. They are good people provide good service at a reasonible price. They also have towing. JACALONE%26#39;S is a block north of the cozy inn. They are also good people that provide good service and have towing. I would recommend both.
I have used Atlantic Auto on the island ever since I moved here. They have always done a good job with my car and I%26#39;ve never had to take my car back because something was not fixed. They are on Anastasia Island on Hwy 312 going east just past the intersection with A1A...
