I have seen quite a few threads about making reservations for restaraunts. I am travelling from the 7th - 21st September and was wondering if I would need to make any reservatins, there are only 2 of us. I know we definitley want to eat at the Rainforest Cafe at AK but am not sure where else we would like to eat. Are we going to have trouble getting a table. Thanks
Reservations in Septemberwe went last september. Bear in mind this is when the dining plan is offered free, so you have an awful lot of people trying to eat in the nicest places.
We booked everything 6 months in advance, but when we were there, we tried to get a table for 2 at Le cellier, because we ate there our first day (booked 6 months in advance) and enjoyed it so much we wanted to do it again. There was nothing available on any of the subsequent 4 days we visited Epcot (we had asked for any time at all, lubch or dinner-but zero availability last minute).
We were so glad we had booked everywhere else we had planned to eat!
Reservations in SeptemberI forgot about the dining plan. Do you know if the Rainforest Cafe at AK is part of the dining plan?
No, RFC is not part of the dining plan at Disney (they are not owned by Disney itself, but only lease space on their property).
However, you will still need to make reservations as far ahead of time as you can no matter where on the Disney property you plan to eat.
The free dining plan offer in September brings lots of folks to the various venues of table service places, so walkups are almost impossible.
Thanks for the help with this. Apart from the Rainforest cafe I can not really think of any restaraunts that I really want to eat at on Disney. I have looked at the Le Cellia (sp?) in Canada at Epcot on Allears but I don%26#39;t really fancy anything on the menu. The only thing I can think of is Fultons Crab House at downton disney. Is this any good and is it part of the dining plan?
Le Cellier is fantastic at Epcot.....and very, very popular. You really have to call on the 180th day before to get ressies here most of the time.
Fultons is not on the Disney dining plan either.
I am really torn about Le Celliar. Everyone says such great things about it. I have looked at the menu on Allears and it dosen%26#39;t look that special. Is the menu on AllEars just an idea of what is served or is it the actual meanu? Sorry for all the questions and being stupid lol.
No, the menu on allears is complete for Le Cellier.
You really need to be a steak lover to enjoy that place. I%26#39;ve had two of the best filet mignon steaks ever there.
I had prime rib there, and didn%26#39;t think it was as great as it should have been for being a ';steak'; restaurant. I actually had a better prime rib at Cinderella%26#39;s castle for dinner!
We were there for Free Dining last year. I made my reservations way out but had to change a few things. I was able to get something a Jiko last minute and it was yummy! It%26#39; a 2 credit restaurant on the dining plan so that may be why it was available.

Thanks for all the replys, they have been really helpful. As it is Disney Free Dining in September I will probably try to avoid eating too many times in Disney Parks themselves. Just grab some snacks and go for proper meals outside the parks lol. Am I right in thinking that September is one of the quietest times in Orlando?
