Meet between Orlando and Ft Myers

Is there a major city to meet someone for dinner that will be half way between Orlando and Ft myers? If there is no exact halfway, put the distance on the Orlando side. For instance, Tampa is 2 hrs from Ft Myers which is unfair to ask of our party, but maybe Sarasota? It doesn%26#39;t look like there is anything that is a straight shot (to be exactly half way) from both cities, but maybe I%26#39;m not seeing something.

Sarasota is pretty close to halfway. There are some pretty good restaurants in the St Armands area as well.

If you go down 27, Sebring is about half way. There is a nice restaruant on the north side of town by the lake. I am trying to remember its name. I stopped in there for dinner on my way home from Marco Island. What I had was quite good and the staff was friendly.

Sarasota is a great place to go all by itself. St. Armand%26#39;s Cricle is enough of an attraction that you might wish to plan an hour or two before dinner to wander through the shops.
