Help!

If you only had 4 days, what would you see and do? We like to party a bit but don%26#39;t like nightclubs per se and we want to relax, hang on a beach and maybe snorkel. Anything else? It%26#39;s a last minute trip and I usually plan for months before going anywhere so I%26#39;m a bit out of my element.

Help!

Don%26#39;t plan anything then. KW is all about relaxing and taking things as they come.

Pick one thing you%26#39;d like to do, like snorkeling, book a trip and enjoy it.

There aren%26#39;t any real night clubs, but all kinds of unique bars and restaurants.

Help!

Have you looked through the insider pages? There is lots of good info in those.

I asked the same question a while ago (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g34345-i53-k1427752-What_do_you_HAVE_to_do_while_in_Key_west-Key_West_Florida_Keys_Florida.html )and as you can see, there is a lot to do. Besides a sunset dinner and fishing trip, we are leaving the trip up in the air, and let the wind decide for us. Hope that old forum post helps.

PS... only 17 days to go.

To the extent that you want to plan, plan for a nice sit-down dinner one night. Maybe a bottle of wine and two platters of the local offerings or a Cuban dinner. This is as opposed to an early night of appitizer-hopping; two drinks and pinks at Alonzo%26#39;s Oyster Bar. Then two drinks and a dozen oysters at the Conch Republic. Then claws and two more drinks at the Half Shell Raw Bar. Your basic, Key West three course dinner.

can anyone suggest a good Cuban restaurant? that sounds way cool!

Yes. I suggest El Meson de Pepe just off Front Street. You can sit in the garden or on their veranda and listen to the live band.

Everyone else seems to suggest El Siboney but I%26#39;ll bet they don%26#39;t have a band.

My vote goes to El Siboney. It fantastic authentic Cuban cuisine. Its were the locals go.

That reminds me. El Meson de Pepe is where some, but not all, of the locals go...

';We live in Miami and visit Key West twice yearly. The best place to have a great time, enjoy great food (Cuban) and great mojitos at great prices is Meson de Pepe.

The owner and staff are always freindly. The music is fantastic and most important FREE!

Don%26#39;t miss this place on a Friday or Saturday night when the ';LOCALS'; come out to have a good time at Meson.

Like another poster said... best plan is not to plan!

KW is the single greatest place to relax on earth. There are many fun things to do and you can party like a rockstar, or be a total bum and read a book in a hammock all day.

Best advice I can give is find a nice bar during the afternoon.. HogsBreath Raw Bar, Afterdeck at Louie%26#39;s, Southernmost Beach%26#39;s bar and talk with the bartender locals. They%26#39;ll help guide you and find things of interest.

My must dos are HB raw bar for a few hours one afternoon, Dinner at Conch Republic, See Pete and Wayne%26#39;s show at Sloppys. Other then that, there are tons of other attractions and intersting things. Of course I%26#39;m always for hire as a personal guide=)

Have fun!

PJK, those people are locals in Miami, not Key West. :)

We%26#39;ve eaten at El Siboney and El Meson de Pepe. You can%26#39;t beat EMdP for the atmosphere (and I hear the mojitos are great), but we prefer ES by far for the food and sangria.

From the (Orlando) locals,
