Anything new at Destin Commons??

We are coming down June 21-28...can%26#39;t wait! We love the Commons, especially at night. My 6 year old could spend the entire time in Bass Pro Shops. Are there any new shops, eats, etc. that we should know about?? Also, anything new at The Track?? My kids love that place, again at night. Can%26#39;t take the heat of the day!! Thanks, ya%26#39;ll!!

Destin Commons is constantly changing - unfortunately I think a lot of places have a hard time paying the rent in there. Tonys Restaurant is gone now. There is a new parking garage in theback if you need it.

Several stores are gone. I didn%26#39;t realize Tony%26#39;s wasn%26#39;t there. Sharper Image is gone, and Bombay is gone, Wylands is gone, a few more. A hair place is new. Parking garage is new.

Sharper Image and Bombay have corporate financial trouble, so it didn%26#39;t really have anything to do with the Common%26#39;s high rent. Tony%26#39;s just deserved to go. The worst service/meal I ever had in Destin was there last year. Good riddance to them! Plenty of other much better choices.

Anybody know where Wylands moved? We really enjoyed wandering through the store.

Bluepoint just closed too...we need BBQ man to come down and open a BBQ joint there.

Wylands is closed. I must mention the man that had this franchise ranks right up in the top five of mean, dishonest, deceiving, abusive forms of human existence.

Many wholesellers would not even deal with that jerk. No one in the area or really no one who ever dealt with him in business would ever send a female to call on the ahole.

Well now that we know Semco%26#39;s opinion of the Wylans guy I just have to ask, what type of store is it or was it?

Wyland is a ';premiere marine life artist'; and this was his local gallery I am assuming. I remember it when it was out near the bridge.

The artist Wyland is absolutely one of my favorites. I have no knowledge of the devil-man who ran the local gallery and store though.

Wylands Studios are world wide franchises featuring upscale marine artists.

Wyland himself is wonderful. He has been to Destin many times for shows and is just delightful. Many of the artist that normally show in the Wylands studios would not put their art in the one in Destin because of Satan Jr. I personally know several of the artist that were in there as well.

One time, when Wyland was down doing a show, I saw him at McGuires and told him my opinion, in much sterner words than I posted here about the owner, and he agreed. He could NOT stand the guy, but for some reason, he could not take the franchise away.
