Where to stay as couples

Hi I am coming down next weekend with fiance and another couple. We are mid-twenty%26#39;s to thirties. Looking for sun, beach and evening calm bars...so many hotels and no clue where to stay. So many complaints about ';dirty'; rooms. Willing to pay 100 a night any recommendations. My personal request is that we be on the beach!

Do you have any discounts? Military, government, AAA, AARP? The Best Western Aku Tiki Inn (the south end of Daytona actually Port Orange), has a restaurant/bar attached called Trader%26#39;s, if you stay there, there is a manager%26#39;s happy hour each evening with free drinks with room key. The Aku Tiki Inn is a beautiful property, with pool, on the beach. Their rates are good if you have discounts. If you drink, and figure in the cost of an hour of free drinks for four, it might be worth the extra to stay there.

The LaPlaya Resort 2500 N Atlantic has a large pool, nice deck, right on the ocean, hot tubs and tiki bar. Tourist season has not really started yet so I don%26#39;t know if a band will be at the Tiki Bar or not. When we are there in June the tiki bar is a calm but fun time. If people get too rowdy security gives them a free escort, LOL. If you get an ocean view as opposed to an oceanfront it might be as low as 100 dollars since it is off season. We have been staying there for years and like it a lot. It is beginning to show it%26#39;s age but the rooms and staff are nice and they are continually renovating it as needed. An outdoor shopping center is directly across the street. Many good motels and condos in Daytona Beach Try pulling up some of their websites. you can%26#39;t always rely on what reviews say but I know it is hard when you have not been to one. Have a wonderful time.

Most resorts are directly on the beach with either oceanview or oceanfront rooms. Rates are reasonable this time of year.

If you want to walk to major things, like Ocean Walk Shoppes, movies, variety of restaurants, entertainment, etc. you should stay near Main Street, which would be approximately 300 N. Atlantic to 300 S. Atlantic. If you want to drive then the sky is the limit as to north or south areas.
